Almond Rusks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. butter
    2 eggs
    3 c. flour
    3 Tbsp. cream (sour preferred)
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/8 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. toasted, chopped almonds
    1/8 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream sugar and butter.
    Add slightly beaten eggs, cream and chopped nuts.
    Sift flour with baking powder, soda and salt; add to mixture.
    Chill.
    Roll into 4 long narrow rows 17 inches long. Place on buttered 17 x 11-inch pan.
    Brush with slightly beaten egg whites and sprinkle generously with pearl sugar.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    Slice and dry quickly in 350\u00b0 oven on both sides.
