Biscuits - cooking recipe

2 c. self-rising flour (I like White Lily)
1/4 c. butter or shortening
3/4 c. milk
Preparation

Preheat oven to 425\u00b0.
In a large mixing bowl, cut butter or shortening into flour with fork or pastry blender until crumbly. Stir in milk until just sticking in one ball (sometimes takes less milk).
Turn onto floured board and knead 10 to 12 times. Roll or press the dough to 3/4-inch thick and cut with biscuit cutters. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned on top.
Yields 4 servings.
