Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. whole milk
    1 egg
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    3 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. celery, chopped fine
    1 or 2 bananas
    2 or 3 apples
    1/2 c. nuts
    1/2 c. raisins
Preparation
    Beat egg with milk.
    Mix cornstarch and sugar together and add milk and egg.
    Cook, stirring constantly.
    Bring to boil and cook just a few minutes.
    Remove from stove and cool slightly.
    Add vinegar and vanilla.
    (Be sure to cool as vinegar tends to curdle if hot.)
    Refrigerate before using with fruit.
    Will keep a week in fridge.
