Shrimp Linguini - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 oz. linguini or thin spaghetti
    1/4 c. (1/2 stick) unsalted butter
    3/4 lb. shrimp, peeled, deveined and sliced
    1/4 lb. mushrooms, sliced
    4 to 6 cloves garlic, finely chopped
    1/3 c. grated Romano cheese, chopped
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    chopped parsley
Preparation
    Cook pasta in a large pot of boiling water.
    Meanwhile, melt butter in a large skillet.
    Add shrimp, mushrooms and garlic. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring often, until shrimp are cooked, about 5 minutes.
    Place linguini in a serving bowl.
    Pour shrimp mixture over the linguini.
    Sprinkle with the cheese, salt and pepper.
    Toss well.
    Serve immediately.
    Serves 3 to 4.
