Red Beans - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. dry red kidney beans
1 large onion, chopped fine
1 pkg. Eckrich smoked sausage or ground beef
2 tsp. seasoning salt
1 Tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. chili powder
2 Tbsp. ketchup
1/2 Tbsp. garlic powder
1/2 Tbsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. rosemary leaves
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
red pepper to taste
Preparation

Soak beans in water overnight.
Keep in refrigerator.
Put beans in crock-pot; add all ingredients except for meat.
Fill to top with water.
Turn crock-pot on high.
Cook about 5 to 6 hours. Stir occasionally.
Add cut up sausage or browned ground beef. Sometimes I even add both.
Cook around 2 hours more or until your desired tenderness.
Serve with cornbread or over a bowl of white rice.
