Microwave Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. white Karo syrup
    1 c. raw or roasted peanuts
    1 tsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. soda
Preparation
    In a 1 1/2-quart microwave-safe casserole, stir together peanuts, sugar, syrup and salt.
    Cook 4 minutes on High.
    Stir well.
    Cook 4 more minutes on High.
    Stir in butter or margarine and vanilla.
    Microwave 2 minutes longer on High.
    Add baking soda and stir quickly until light and foamy.
    Immediately pour on lightly greased cookie sheet.
    Let cool 1 hour.
    Break into pieces and store in airtight container.
