Pineapple Upside Down Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 can sliced pineapple
maraschino cherries
1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. shortening
3/4 c. milk
1 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Melt
butter in cake pan;
sprinkle with brown sugar, evenly. Drain the pineapple, but save the juice. Arrange in pan, with
the
cherries
in
the
holes
of pineapple. Add sifted flour, baking
powder and salt in a bowl. Stir in sugar.
Add shortening
and milk.
Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes.
Add vanilla and
egg.
Beat
2 or more minutes. Pour carefully over pineapple.
Bake 50 to 60 minutes.
