Fruit Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box vanilla pudding (not instant)
    1 box tapioca pudding (not instant)
    2 small cans mandarin oranges
    1 (No. 20) can pineapple tidbits
    maraschino cherries
    3 to 4 bananas
Preparation
    Drain juice of cans of fruit and add enough water to make 3 1/2 cups.
    Cook until thick, cool.
    Then add oranges, pineapple, maraschino cherries and bananas. You can also add diced apples (Red or Yellow Delicious).
