Hearty Cheese Chowder - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
6 carrots, scraped and sliced thinly
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
2 c. water
1 (15 oz.) can cream-style corn
salt and pepper
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. flour
2 c. milk
10 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
1 c. cooked ham, cubed
Preparation

Cook vegetables in water about 10 minutes, until just done. Add creamed corn; season to taste and set aside.
Melt butter in separate pan and mix with flour.
Gradually add milk, stirring over medium heat until thickened.
Add cheese and heat until cheese is melted.
Do not boil.
When ready to serve, combine cheese sauce with vegetables and ham.
Heat thoroughly.
