Dessert Fruit Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. butter
    4 eggs
    2 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice (1/2 tsp. lemon extract)
    1 can favorite pie filling
Preparation
    Mix sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
    Beat in eggs one at a time.
    Add lemon juice.
    Slowly beat in flour.
    Spoon mixture onto well-greased 15 x 10-inch cookie sheet and then spread evenly.
    Visualize 20 squares and dab your choice of pie filling (about a tablespoon) in the center of each square.
    Bake for 45 minutes.
    Let cool partially, then sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
    Cut into 20 squares.
    Great for taking to potlucks.
    Spoon on Cool Whip if desired when serving.
