Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 cube butter or margarine
    1 c. white corn syrup
    2 c. raw peanuts
    2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Put sugar, syrup and water in a pan and bring to a boil over high heat.
    Turn to medium-high heat and continue cooking until it reaches 264\u00b0 on a soft crackle.
    Add peanuts and cook 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Remove from heat, then add the butter and soda.
    Stir up well and pour out immediately in ungreased pans. You could use two people to do this; one to pour and one to spread it out.
    It hardens very fast.
