Fat-Free Pumpkin Drop Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. whole wheat flour
    1 c. unbleached flour
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. cooked, mashed pumpkin
    1 c. nonfat buttermilk
Preparation
    Combine the flours, sugar and baking powder.
    Stir to mix well.
    In a separate bowl, combine the pumpkin and buttermilk; stir until blended. Add the pumpkin mixture to the flour mixture and stir just until the dry ingredients are moistened. Coat a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray. Drop heaping tablespoonfuls of dough onto the sheet, placing the biscuits 1/2-inch apart for soft biscuits or 1 1/2-inches for crusty biscuits.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for about 18 minutes or until lightly browned.
    Transfer to a serving plate and serve hot.
