Swedish Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. raisins
    1 c. water
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening (Crisco)
    2 tsp. vanilla
    3 eggs
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Boil raisins in water until almost dry.
    Beat sugar, shortening, vanilla, eggs and salt well.
    Add raisins.
    Add flour and soda.
    Mix well.
    (Add more flour if necessary; sometimes it will take more if raisins are wetter.)
    Make small balls of dough. Roll in sugar.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
