Jumbo Raisin Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cup water
    2 cups seedless raisins
    1 cup shortening
    2 cups sugar
    3 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 cups flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. soda
    1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. allspice
    pinch of salt
    1 cup chopped nuts
Preparation
    Add one cup water to two cups seedless raisins, boil five minutes.
    Cool.
    Cream one cup shortening adding little by little two cups sugar.
    Add three eggs, beat well.
    Add one teaspoon vanilla and cooled raisins.
    Sift together four cups sifted flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, one teaspoon soda, 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg, 1/4 teaspoon allspice, pinch of salt, mix well then add one cup chopped nuts.
    Chill dough, drop by teaspoonful on a greased baking sheet.
    Bake in hot oven (400 degrees) for 12 to 15 minutes.
