Pretzel Dessert - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. softened butter or margarine
3 Tbsp. sugar
2 3/4 c. crushed pretzels (not too fine)
1 c. sugar
1 (8 oz) pkg. softened cream cheese
1 (4 oz.) whipped topping
2 c. boiling water
2 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry flavored gelatin
1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen sliced strawberries
Preparation

In medium bowl, cream together margarine and 3 tablespoons sugar.
Add pretzels.
Press in a 9 x 13-inch pan and bake for 10 minutes in preheated oven at 350\u00b0.
Cool.
In medium mixing bowl, beat together 1 cup sugar and cream cheese.
Fold in whipped topping.
Spread over cooled pretzel crust.
Chill.
Pour boiling water over strawberry gelatin.
Stir to dissolve.
Add frozen strawberries and stir until thawed.
Chill until gelatin is slightly thickened.
Spoon gelatin over cream cheese layer.
Chill until set.
Cut into squares and serve.
Garnish with additional whip cream, if desired.
