Turnip Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. pork meat, cut in pieces
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 c. onions, chopped
    1/2 c. celery, chopped
    1/2 c. bell pepper, chopped
    6 large turnips, cut in pieces
    3 Tbsp. oil
    1/4 c. onion tops, chopped
    1/4 c. parsley, chopped
    4 c. water
Preparation
    Brown pork in oil; remove.
    Add flour to oil for roux.
    Add water, seasonings and pork.
    Cook on low fire for one hour.
    Add turnips and cook for one-half hour.
    Add onion tops and parsley. Serve over rice.
