Apricot Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. chopped dried apricots
    1 1/4 c. flour, sifted
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. margarine
    2 eggs
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    sliced almonds
Preparation
    Rinse apricots and cover with water in a saucepan.
    Simmer 10 minutes.
    Drain and cool.
    Mix flour, sugar and margarine until crumbly.
    Press into ungreased 9-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
