Cider Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 1/2 Tbsp. buttermilk
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. soda
    2 c. flour
    1 c. cider
    1 1/2 c. chopped apples
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening. Add milk, eggs and vanilla.
    Blend alternately with mixed dry ingredients and cider.
    Mix in apples and nuts.
    Grease and flour large bread pan.
    Sprinkle with topping of 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and 2 teaspoons sugar.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
