Coconut Pecan Frosting - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2/3 c. sugar
2/3 c. evaporated milk
2 egg yolks
1/2 c. Crisco
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/3 c. coconut
2/3 c. pecans, chopped
Preparation

Combine sugar, milk, egg yolks, Crisco and vanilla.
Cook and stir over medium heat to boiling (takes about 12 minutes).
Remove from heat; add coconut and pecans.
Beat until frosting thickens. Cool 15 minutes.
Frosts two 8 or 9-inch layers or 13 x 9-inch cake.
