Swirl Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 cup margarine
    2 cups sugar
    2 cups water
    1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
    1/2 cup shortening
    1/3 cup milk
2 cups well drained berries or chopped peaches
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Melt the margarine in a 13x9x2 inch baking dish.
Heat sugar and water in a saucepan (can use part juice if you have it) until sugar melts.
Cut shortening into flour until particles are like fine crumbs.
Add milk, and stir with a fork only until dough leaves side of bowl.
Turn out onto lightly floured board; knead 2 or 3 times.
Roll dough out into a large rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
Sprinkle cinnamon over fruit; then sprinkle fruit evenly over dough.
Roll up like a jelly roll and pinch edges together.
Cut into 1/2 inch slices. Place in the pan with melted margarine.
Pour sugar syrup carefully around rolls.
    Bake for 45 minutes.
