Shakertown Scalloped Oysters - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pt. oysters
6 tsp. cream and oyster liquor
1 1/2 c. coarse cracker crumbs
salt and pepper
1/2 c. melted butter
Preparation

Pick over oysters and drain.
Grease a baking dish and cover with a third of the cracker crumbs.
Cover with half the oysters and season.
Add half the oyster liquor and cream mixture.
Repeat. Cover the top with remaining crumbs.
Pour melted butter over all. Bake at 400\u00b0 for about 30 minutes.
Serves 6.
