Caramel Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. boiling water
    2 c. milk
    4 egg yolks (use egg whites for meringue)
    1/2 c. flour (plain)
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Put one cup sugar in large iron skillet and let melt to a dark golden brown syrup, stirring constantly.
    Add boiling water and cook until lumps are gone.
    Mix rest of ingredients together and stir into syrup.
    Cook until thick.
    Cool before putting into baked pie crusts.
    Makes 2 pies.
