Lemon Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/3 c. milk
1/4 c. lemon juice
2 egg yolks
1 Tbsp. butter
1 (9-inch) pie crust
Preparation

In a double boiler pan combine sugar, cornstarch and salt.
Add milk and heat until mixture boils and thickens.
In small bowl combine lemon juice and egg yolks.
Add 1/3 cup of hot milk to eggs and lemon juice.
Add to hot stove mixture and cook until thick custard.
Add butter.
Pour custard into baked 9-inch pie crust and top with 2 egg whites, beaten to peaks.
Add 2 tablespoons sugar and put on pie custard and bake at 350\u00b0 until meringue browns, about 10 to 20 minutes.
