Fried Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 ears fresh white corn
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    2 Tbsp. bacon drippings
    3/4 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Remove husks and silks from corn. Cut corn from cobs, scraping cobs to remove all milk.
    Heat butter and bacon drippings in a skillet until hot.
    Add corn, water, salt and pepper.
    Cook, uncovered, over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil.
    Cover, reduce heat and simmer 10 to 12 minutes or until liquid is absorbed, stirring frequently.
    Yields 10 to 12 servings.
