2 c. cornmeal (self-rising)
1 c. flour (self-rising)
1 c. milk or buttermilk
1 egg
1 Tbsp. oil
enough water to make batter of pouring consistency
Preparation

Pour into greased muffin or cornstick pan or an iron skillet. Bake in preheated oven at 450\u00b0 to 500\u00b0 for 30 minutes, or until browned.
