Curry Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    about 24 medium cucumbers
    1/2 c. salt
    8 c. water
    1 tsp. curry powder
    2 c. vinegar
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1/8 c. mustard seed (or a little more)
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Wash and slice cucumbers. Combine salt and water. Pour over cukes. Let stand 5 hours; drain and rinse thoroughly.
    Mix remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling. Pour over cukes. Bring back only to a boil in pan. Pack in hot jars.
    No need to process.
