Rich Nutmeg Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    1 stick margarine
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 eggs, lightly beaten
Preparation
    In a bowl, mix together 2 cups of the flour and the brown sugar, then cut in butter.
    Measure out 3/4 cup of the mixture and set aside to use later as the topping. Stir the remaining cup of flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda and nutmeg into the flour, brown sugar, butter mixture remaining in the bowl.
    Stir in buttermilk and eggs and mix just until blended.
    Spoon into lightly buttered muffin tins; fill 3/4 full. Sprinkle equal amounts of reserved topping over each muffin. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
    Yields 15 muffins.
