Boiled Rice For Gumbo, White Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Uncle Ben's long grain white rice
    2 c. cold water
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. margarine
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients in a heavy 3-quart saucepan with a tight-fitting lid.
    Bring to boil over high heat.
    Stir once with a fork, then cover tightly and reduce heat to very low.
    Cook, covered, for exactly 15 minutes.
    Do not lift cover during cooking.
    Remove pan from heat; uncover and fluff rice gently with fork.
    We put rice in individual soup bowls and put our gumbo or white beans on top.
