Chicken Paprikash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 broiler-fryer (about 3 lb.), cut up
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. oil
    2 medium onions, sliced thin
    1 to 2 Tbsp. paprika (according to taste)
    2 Tbsp. water
    1 c. sour cream
Preparation
    Season chicken with salt and pepper.
    Brown chicken well in hot oil; remove and set aside.
    In pan drippings, saute onions and paprika until tender.
    Add chicken and water; mix well.
    Cover; simmer 30 minutes until chicken is tender.
    Remove to serving platter and keep warm.
    Stir sour cream into onion mixture until blended.
    Heat through over low heat; do not boil.
    Pour over chicken.
    Serve with noodles.
