Potatoes Au Gratin - cooking recipe

3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
5 to 6 medium potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced (about 6 c.)
1 1/2 tsp. salt
4 oz. Cheddar cheese, grated
1/2 c. fresh bread crumbs
Preparation

Preheat oven to 425\u00b0.
In a 9 x 13-inch baking pan in oven, melt butter.
Remove from oven. Add potatoes and salt. Toss together and arrange potatoes in even layer in pan. Sprinkle with cheese and bread crumbs. Cover with foil. Bake 20 minutes. Uncover and bake 15 minutes more until potatoes are tender.
