Mrs. Costner'S Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 sticks creamery butter
    8 eggs, beaten slowly one at a time into batter
    3 3/4 c. cake flour
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/2 pt. heavy cream (1 c.)
    1 tsp. baking powder
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar thoroughly, beating with the same stroke.
    Add eggs one at a time and beat approximately 3 minutes to each egg.
    Add flour, sifted 3 times, with salt and baking powder, gradually.
    Beating vigorously, add vanilla.
    Last, pour in the heavy cream in small amounts and bake in a moderate oven which has been slightly heated to just warm.
    Set at 325\u00b0.
