Pecan Puffs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. powdered sugar, sifted
    2 c. plain flour
    1 c. chopped nuts
    powdered sugar
Preparation
    Blend shortening with salt and 2 teaspoons vanilla with 1/2 cup sifted powdered sugar.
    Cream well; add plain flour and nuts. Shape in small balls and bake on greased cookie sheet.
    Bake 15 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    (It is better to bake 20 minutes at 325\u00b0.)
    Let cool a little while, then roll in powdered sugar; store in tight container.
    If you have plenty of nuts, you could add an extra cup.
