Baked Tomato With Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. canola oil
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 c. celery, diced
    1/2 c. green peppers, diced
    2 1/2 c. stewed tomatoes
    1 (7 oz.) can tomato paste
    1/4 c. water
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. thyme (powdered)
    2 c. long grain rice
    1/4 tsp. powdered sage
    fresh ground pepper
    salt to taste
Preparation
    Heat oil, onion, celery and green peppers in a medium saucepan; saute lightly.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Make sure there is enough liquid to cover rice and bring to a boil.
    Remove to oven dish, cover and bake at 300\u00b0 for 35 minutes or until rice is tender.
