Sweet 'N Sour Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. dry mustard
    1/2 c. white vinegar
    1 large egg, lightly beaten
    1/4 c. apricot preserves
Preparation
    In top of double boiler, combine sugar and mustard; whisk in vinegar, 1/4 cup water and the egg.
    Over gently boiling water, cook mixture, stirring frequently, until mixture thickens, about 10 minutes.
    Stir in preserves; heat through.
    Keep warm but do not boil.
