Baked Apricots - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (1 lb. 14 oz. each) large cans peeled apricots, drained
    1 1/2 boxes light brown sugar
    1 (1 lb.) large box Ritz-type crackers
    1 stick butter or substitute
Preparation
    In a greased 2-quart casserole, put a layer of the apricot halves.
    Cover with sugar, then a layer of the crumbled crackers and dot thickly with butter.
    Repeat to top of dish.
    Bake slowly at 300\u00b0 about 1 hour.
    Serves 10 to 12.
