Apple Pie Filling - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    9 c. water
    5 c. sugar
    1 c. cornstarch
    2 tsp. nutmeg
    3 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. salt
    7 qt. apples (Grimes Golden or Yellow Delicious)
Preparation
    Cook all these ingredients until clear and slightly thickened. Slice apples after peeling.
    Put in jars.
    Cover with filling. Process in hot water bath for 20 minutes.
