Rice And Lentil Pilaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 c. uncooked brown rice
    3 c. water
    1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
    2 tsp. vegetable bouillon granules (can substitute 2 beef bouillon cubes)
    1 Tbsp. tomato paste or 2 Tbsp. ketchup
    1/2 c. dried lentils (uncooked)
    1/2 c. shredded carrot
    1/2 c. unsalted sunflower seeds (salted ok)
    1/2 c. raisins
    1 c. cooked chicken breasts, cubed
Preparation
    Saute onion in oil in a skillet until tender.
    Add rice and stir until lightly browned.
    Add water and next 4 ingredients; stir well.
    Cover; bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes.
    Stir in remaining ingredients and cook 20 to 25 minutes. Yields 6 main dish servings.
