French Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 medium apples
    1 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    1/2 c. melted butter
    1 egg
    1/2 c. raisins
    1/2 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation
    Pour sugar over peeled, sliced apples.
    Combine dry ingredients and pour over apples.
    Add melted butter, lightly beaten egg, raisins and nuts.
    Mix together and then pour into an 8-inch square pan (greased).
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 55 minutes.
