Freezer Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. unpeeled, sliced cucumbers (1/4 inch thick)
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. white vinegar
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 medium onion, cut up (optional)
Preparation
    Put sliced cucumbers in pan.
    Cover with water.
    Add 1 teaspoon salt; mix well.
    Let soak 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
    Drain well. Mix 1/2 cup white vinegar and 1 1/2 cups sugar.
    Stir real good. Pack cucumbers in plastic freezer cartons.
    Pour liquid mixture over.
    Put in freezer and freeze.
    Will last in freezer a long time.
    To eat, thaw.
