Banana Upside-Down Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 small bananas
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 stick butter
    1 1/2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. clarified butter
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    In a saucepan, combine 1 cup sugar and 2 tablespoons water; stir until mixture resembles damp sand. Melt over high heat until sugar caramelizes; when caramel is dark amber, add 1/2 stick butter.
    Stir. Pour into 8-inch pan (square). Arrange bananas, cut lengthwise and then crosswise, cut side down in pan.
