Polly Cracker Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    32 saltine crackers
    2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    2 c. finely chopped pecans
    6 egg whites
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    8 oz. Cool Whip
    1 small can crushed pineapple, well drained
    1 c. coconut
Preparation
    Crush
    crackers well and mix together with 1 cup sugar, baking powder
    and
    pecans.
    Beat egg whites until soft peaks form.
    Add cream
    of tartar and 1 cup sugar.
    Beat until very stiff.
    Fold egg whites into dry mixture.
    Pour into greased 9 x 15-inch
    pan. Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 25 minutes.
    Cool and then
    add
    topping. Mix
    Cool
    Whip,
    pineapple
    and coconut; spread
    over cake. Seven Minute Frosting is also good on this cake.
