Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 to 3 c. rolled oats
12 oz. chocolate chips
1 c. shortening (half butter)
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugars.
Add eggs and vanilla.
Sift flour, soda, salt and baking powder;
add to creamed mixture.
Add rolled oats and stir in chocolate chips.
Drop by rounded teaspoons on lightly greased baking sheet.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes in a 350\u00b0 oven.
