Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/2 c. water
2 c. walnuts or pecans
Preparation

Combine sugar, salt, spices and water in saucepan; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved. Continue to cook, without stirring, until the mixture registers 238\u00b0 on a candy thermometer or forms a soft ball.
Add nuts and turn onto wax paper.
