Mama Rose'S French Toast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    2 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. ground cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
    bread, day-old or leftover French loaf slices
    2 to 3 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    In pie plate or shallow mixing bowl, whisk egg, then add milk, whisking until well combined.
    Add vanilla and cinnamon, whisking again or mix with fork.
    Preheat skillet over medium heat, melting butter.
    Dip bread on both sides in egg mixture, then brown on both sides in hot skillet, turning only once, adding butter as skillet dries with additional bread slices until mixture is gone.
    Sprinkle with sugar or serve with honey or favorite syrup.
