Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 1/2 Tbsp. white corn syrup
2 egg whites
4 Tbsp. water
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Combine in top part of a double boiler.
Both the egg whites and the water should be cold.
Set over briskly boiling water in the bottom of a double boiler.
After beating, about 3 or 4 minutes, add six large marshmallows.
Continue beating until the mixture will hold a stiff peak without falling to one side.
