Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. real butter
    2 2/3 c. sugar
    3 1/2 c. cake flour, sifted
    8 eggs, separated
    1 tsp. vanilla
    10 tsp. half and half cream
Preparation
    Beat egg whites stiff.
    Add 6 tablespoons sugar.
    Put in refrigerator.
    Cream sugar and butter together until well blended. Add egg yolks, 2 at a time.
    Alternate cream and flour and mix well until creamy.
    Add vanilla and fold in egg whites from refrigerator.
    Beat on high speed with mixer for 10 minutes.
