Czech Dumplings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. water
4 slices 2 day old bread, cubed
Preparation

Sift flour, baking powder and salt into mixing bowl.
Beat eggs and water together.
Beat into sifted ingredients with wooden spoon.
Beat for 10 minutes.
Stir in bread cubes.
Divide dough in bowl in half with wooden spoons.
Shape into 2 ovals and drop into rapidly boiling water.
Cook in covered pan for 20 minutes, turning dumplings over after 10 minutes.
Remove from water and drain.
Slice immediately with knife or thread.
Makes 2 large dumplings, enough for about 6 servings.
