Shortbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. brown sugar (packed)
1 c. butter (2 sticks), chilled
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Measure flour and salt into sifter and sift together.
Add brown sugar and mix well.
Add butter to bowl in chunks.
Use pastry cutter to mix butter into flour until you have pea sized lumps.
Use your fingers to work the butter into the flour until the mixture is smooth.
Press shortbread into pan. Use a fork to prick the shortbread all over.
Bake for 20 minutes until light brown.
