Butternut Drops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    2 Tbsp. grated orange rind
    1 Tbsp. grated lemon rind
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 egg yolk
    2 egg whites
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. flour
    2 c. chopped pecans
    candied cherries
Preparation
    Cream butter, vanilla, lemon juice, rinds and sugar thoroughly. Beat in egg yolk.
    Sift dry ingredients together and add to the creamed mixture mixing until blended.
    Drop mixture by 1/2 teaspoon into egg whites which have been slightly beaten.
    Roll in nuts. Place on greased cookie sheet 1-inch apart.
    Press half candied cherry on top of each.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
    Makes 72.
