Stuffed Peppers In Foil - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium green peppers
    1/2 c. onion, chopped
    1/2 c. celery, chopped
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    2 c. onion-garlic croutons
    1 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cook and stir onion and celery in butter until tender.
    Stir in croutons, cheese and salt.
    Cut thin slices from stem end of peppers.
    Remove seeds and membranes.
    Wash inside and out.
    Place each pepper on a piece of double thickness heavy-duty aluminum foil.
    Fill peppers with cheese stuffing.
    Wrap securely in foil. Cook directly on medium coals 15 to 20 minutes or on grill 3 to 4 inches from hot coals for 30 to 40 minutes.
    Turn once.
    Serves 4. Serve as a vegetable or main dish or great with steak on the grill.
